Friday afternoons are my favorite of the week, but at the same time, I’m exhausted from the week’s work stress, family schedules, and errands. In order to fully enjoy the weekend, I take a relaxing bath to unwind and clear out my mind. Lush’s Bubble Bars are the go-to bath essentials that I stock up all.the.time.
Because of the price (around $10 per bar), I’ve tried various “cheaper” bubble bath formulas ranging from liquid to spheres; however, none has come even close to Lush’s moisturizing property and fantastic aroma. Since it’s a weekly treat, I splurge and pamper myself.
Lush is well known for its Bath Bombs – bath treatments infused with essential oils and heavenly fragrances. They just make your skin super soft. After trying both the Bombs and Bubble Bars, I prefer the Bubble Bars. The Bath Bombs unfortunately don’t produce much bubbles. I just love bubble baths!
The Bubble Bars come in many fragrances, and a few of them are only offered seasonally. There are some overly sweet fragrances that I don’t like, so I always try to visit a Lush store. I buy this and that on a whim, but I usually stick to two of my favorites – Rose Jam and Milky Bath.
Boy, they smell amazing.
Milky Bath has a more “soapy” scent than milk. It leaves my skin feeling silky and milky soft, though. So maybe that’s where the name’s from? It produces generous bubbles that are more than enough to fill the tub, so I usually break it into 2 pieces. The divided bar gives me enough bubbles to get a sumptuous bath experience.
If you have a jetted tub, great, the bubbles are going to be much luscious and thicker. Since I don’t have one, I hold the bar under the running water.
If you like roses, you won’t regret getting the Rose Jam. I twist the bar, and the top and bottom easily come apart. The water turns fuchsia pink just like the bar, and I won’t be needing any scented candles for the bath.
Both Milky Bath and Rose Jam leave my skin seriously nourished, and the scents linger until the next morning. In cold winter months, I actually look forward to Fridays just for the heavenly baths. Of course, I sleep like a baby that night and wake up refreshed and energized.
