I have a long list of Tupperware I’ve used over the years. Some were gifted to me, and many more were bought after careful consideration and comparison, but there was always something annoying about them. I debated for so long until I finally got these containers from Rubbermaid. The containers and lids are both plastics, so you understand my skepticism. I carefully read multiple reviews, especially paying attention to negative comments; however, they didn’t seem to be having what most plastic containers typically have. The most common concerns I have with plastic containers would be a) food stains, b) losing shapes due to heat, and c) that they aren't made with BPA-free plastic. I took the plunge and bought a set, and I can’t believe I just discovered them.
Rubbermaid’s Brilliance food containers are the most ideal food containers for those who’re seeking glass alternatives. They are unbelievably lightweight and incredibly easy to care for. They are plastic food containers that addressed problems most plastic Tupperware have. Ha!
The Brilliance containers are available in 5 different sizes from mini to large to accommodate various food storage needs. And like many food containers, they are perfectly modular, meaning you can stack them on top of each other for more efficient space saving.
The lid has 100% leak-proof rubber and splatter-resistant latches. I own multiple microwave “covers” that I bought in an attempt to keep the contents from splashing all over my microwave, and I can now kiss them goodbye. I can keep the lid on when I’m microwaving as long as I open the side vents. Rubbermaid’s ingenious design keeps the food contained while allowing proper ventilation.
These plastic containers are crystal clear, revealing the contents. No need to put a separate label on like stainless-steel containers or other opaque food storage containers. It showcases the contents in a very presentable way, and my family members spend much less time in front of the refrigerator.
And they really don’t stain! So many food containers claim that they’re stain resistant but hardly live up to that claim. These Brilliance containers, though, are true to their words! They come out clean and sparkly clear even when I put in other dirty dishes with sauces. These containers get an A+ for stain resistance.
I initially bought these containers in 2 sizes, and I already ordered the complete set because I’m replacing all my Tupperware with these. I dare say these are the best food containers in the market.
