If you’re a housewife (or househusband or really anyone who’s in charge of dishes), most likely you have seen these smiley-face dish scrubbers. Although my hardworking dishwasher does most of the heavy lifting, I always keep a clean dish scrubber or a sponge by the sink so I can easily remove larger food particles before loading them into the dishwasher. I’ve been forever using Scotch Brite’s dish sponges, and my decision to buy the Scrub Daddy was completely on a whim. It’s a dish sponge with a smiley face, so maybe it’ll bring me a smile too.

What is so notably interesting about this sponge is that it is made of a unique polymer that changes texture, soft in hot water and hard in cold water. At first, I was like, ok, it’s a dish sponge. How amazing can it be? It cleans all my dishes with minimal effort and doesn’t scratch my expensive cookware including copper and cast iron surfaces that are prone to chipping.

I was excited to learn that now there is a Scrub Mommy sponge that features dual surfaces. Scrub Mommy’s FlexTexture is like Scrub Daddy, but the other end is made of ResoFoam that is excellent at making bigger, thicker suds and absorbent.

If you see a Scrub Daddy or Scrub Mommy while you’re shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond, pick up a box and try it for yourself.
