These are my favorite truffle of all time.
I like to nibble on chocolate as a mid-day snack, and I’ve been trying out various chocolate brands that satisfy my sweet cravings. Most chocolates I’ve tried, even the pricey chocolates that I found at Whole Foods, turned out to be a little lacking. I stumbled upon Seattle Chocolate, and I immediately fell in love with its clean taste and delicate flavor.

As the brand’s name suggests, it is a Seattle-based chocolate manufacturer that is also women-owned. I live in California, and I don’t believe there is a boutique here. Some grocery stores carry Seattle Chocolate bars; however, I strongly suggest ordering online because its truffles are much better. Seattle Chocolate’s truffles are so much smoother and simply better than chocolate bars (as most truffles are).

Also, you do not have to worry about chocolates arriving melted as the shipment comes with an ice pack to ensure proper temperature control. Seattle Chocolate also doesn’t ship a package on Thursdays and Fridays to avoid its packages sitting in carriers’ warehouses over the weekend. Nothing’s worse than melted chocolate, and Seattle Chocolate gets that. I live in Los Angeles, and the chocolate arrived in excellent condition on a 90 degrees day.

Seattle Chocolate offers multiple truffle flavors.
You can either buy an assorted flavor box to try and sample different flavors, or you can choose from a single flavor pack that is available in 1lb or 2lbs packaging.

The first flavor I was introduced to was Sea Salt Toffee Truffles in dark chocolate. It’s amazingly delicious – bits of sea salt are mixed in creamy dark chocolate. I know, I didn’t think dark chocolate can be this smooth and creamy. It doesn’t have that overly sweet aftertaste of milk chocolate, and that’s why I love dark chocolate so much. And these Sea Salt Toffee Truffles did just that.

I wanted to try other flavors, so I got the Assorted 2lbs box.

These truffles are color-coded, and each wrapper has the flavor printed on it. I was hoping the Assorted box included Mint flavor, but I was disappointed to discover that it didn’t. I was on the verge of buying the Mint 1lb bag because I love hospitality mints and chocolates that fancy steakhouses give you at the end of the meal, but I didn’t want to commit the whole pound of it when I hadn’t tested it out. Oh well. But other than the Mint flavor, I believe the Assorted contains all the flavors Seattle Chocolate Truffles come in.

The shipment contained this thoughtful letter from the Seattle Chocolate Team, appreciating the business.

The Assorted box has a drop-down opening.

I intend to leave the box in the office snack room, so my employees can grab them as they come in and out (I really, really should not finish them all by myself!!). Love these truffles! Yummmmm!
