Simplehuman changed the on/off button from the previous model. It used to be a single button, and a light would flash blue or red to indicate the on/off status. I admit it was not as intuitive as I'd liked. There was no way of knowing the soap was off, so I'd accidentally dispense soap whenever I tried to move, clean, or charge it.
I welcome the change - the green signals on, and the red signals off.
The dual caddy consists of a base that is custom-made for 2 Sensor Pumps and 1 sponge holder. The base fits the 14oz Sensor Pump like a glove, and it makes you achieve an organized and clutter-free look.
The sponge holder magnetically attaches to the base. You can remove it from time to time to clean it.
The only complaint I have is that the sponge holder doesn't have a drain hole, so I'll need to squeeze the sponge thoroughly before putting it back.
Other than that, this is perfection.
Another notable upgrade from the previous model is the wider opening for easier refills. The opening is wide enough to accommodate chunky gallon-sized soap refills. Simply lift out the lid and pour soap. With the 14oz capacity, though, you'd need to refill it far less often than other soap dispensers in the market.
