Time to Set Up a Christmas Tree

It's November, and it's time to put up a Christmas tree! Most people start pulling out their Christmas stuff after Thanksgiving, I always set up the tree early because I just don't feel like gift shopping if there's no tree. Where would I put the gifts? I wanted to share my favorite Christmas tree that I've been using for the past 3 years in this post because this tree seriously rocks. And I got a new tree collar, so I wanted to share that.

I upgraded my Christmas tree in 2020 because I wanted to make my home truly welcoming and cozy with all the crazy things that were going on. Investing in a good quality Christmas tree definitely pays off, so I got the Balsam Fir Flip Tree from Balsam Hill.

What's so innovative and cool about this tree is that it flips for easier assembly, so even a petite woman like myself can set up a tree easily. I have the 7.5' high tree with clear lights.

The flip tree consists of 2 parts, and they come with storage bags. This is my 3rd time setting up a tree, and everything still looks brand new, including the storage bags!

This little pouch contains extra bulbs, gloves for sprucing up and shaping the tree, and a remote control for lights.

The flip tree also has wheels with locks. Seriously, you can set up a tree all by yourself!

Once you remove the tree parts from the storage bags, all you need to do is flip the base part towards you. And the branches will spread out, and the bottom half will look more like a tree.

You are almost done - on the top of the base tree, there is a hole for the top portion to insert into. And then you're done!

Voila!

How convenient and easy is that?

I have a 10-foot ceiling, and I find the 7.5-foot tree to be a good height. It doesn't look too short, and it allows some room above for a gorgeous tree topper.

Then the ornaments.

I'll do a separate post on the ornaments because I don't want this post to be too long.

And this year, I have a new tree collar.

It was surprisingly difficult to find a tree collar that I liked. Most tree collars, including the ones from Balsam Hill, were too traditional or rustic for my liking. I wanted a modern tree collar in neutral colors like cream or white. And I found the perfect collar at Crate and Barrel.

Exclusive to Crate and Barrel, the White Woven Fabric Christmas Tree Collar adds the final touch to my Christmas tree.

There were several other choices, but I knew the cream-colored collar was the one for me!

The cotton rope knots add the warm and fuzzy final touch that I wanted to add to the tree.

The off-white, cream color goes so well with my ornaments which are mostly white, transparent glass, and glitters.

The collar has an iron frame, so it's actually very sturdy.

The dimensions of the tree collar are 26.5" x 26.5" x 9.5" H.

I can't recommend this collar enough. It's so modern and welcoming.

Stay tuned for a separate Christmas ornament and decor post!
