I wanted a set of the Eames Elephants to bring a character to my house and add some color. My house is mostly neutral, and I've been so scared to introduce colors. I'm stepping out of my comfort zone here and there, and these Eames Elephants really brighten up a room!

I ordered both elephants at the same time, but the large one was on backorder, so I received the mini elephant first.

The Eames Mini Elephant has the authorized original Vitra hologram mark.

This is actually a children's toy (for children between the ages of 3 and 14), but I'm totally using it as a decor item. This brings out an inner child in me.

Can't wait to unbox it!

How adorable is this?

This is in the Poppy Red color.

The Eames Elephant was developed out of Charles and Ray Eames' fascination with elephants.

And the Eames Elephant!

I had to wait 2 extra months for this beauty to arrive, and the wait was totally worth it. I can finally pair my elephants and display them.

Unlike the mini elephant, the Eames Elephant arrived in a cardboard box without any hologram seal. Honestly, the packaging could've been better, but I trust Design Within Reach and don't doubt that they're sending me a genuine Vitra product.

The Eames Elephant comes fully assembled.

The Eames Elephant is in the Ice Grey finish, and it is large enough for a small child to ride on.

The Eames Elephants are made of dyed polypropylene, which allows for the vibrant manifestation of colors in a matte finish. There is a molded plywood version, as well; however, it is priced much higher.

The colors are so vibrant!

They're so cute when paired together.

You can turn the head slightly and adjust the elephant's face.
