Dyson's Solarcycle Morph™ Floor Lamp is what every indoor office should have as a light source, in my honest opinion. I bought mine back in 2021 at the height of the pandemic, and I've been using it every day in my home office ever since.

I needed a lamp in my home office, and investing in a quality lamp turned out to be a wise decision because my eyes are less strained. I've been using a cheap $20 lamp for years, thinking that lamps are all the same. Not true! The Solarcycle Morph, like all the other Dyson electronics, is full of brilliant designs and advanced technology.

Jake Dyson designed the Solarcycle Morph Light believing that the indoor lights should reflect daylight and transform throughout the day, so it provides the right light throughout the day.

I noticed the difference right away - my eyes were less strained and tired from hours of staring at a screen. The way this lamp adapts to the color temperature and brightness of daylight is a game changer. One thing to note, though, is that it doesn't actually track the real-time light outside. It calculates the brightness and light temperature based on the time, date, and GPS location you set on the app. Still, I found the light changes to be accurate and adequate.

Besides daylight tracking, the Solarcycle Morph has other intelligent features like a magnetic touch-glide docking mechanism, slide-touch controls, and an integrated USB charger. I will explain each feature later in this post.

The lamp has an overall sleek appearance, and it is more suited for more modern spaces.

The swivel arm allows you to adjust the light, so it illuminates just where you need it.

This extendable swing is particularly useful when I'm staring at a screen or reading a book.

The swing arm allows me to direct the optical head where I want it for various lighting tasks.

Dyson suggests different ways of utilizing the Solarcycle Morph.

Settings like study, precision, relaxation, and wake-up mode make the lamp more versatile than ever.

If you want to manually control the color temperature or brightness, the Solarcycle Morph has slide-touch controls.

And with the magnetic touch glide docking, the lamp's optical head snaps into the stem to create a comforting orange ambient glow.

You can find the USB-C charging port on the base of the stem, so you are always connected.

Tilting the optical head allows me to use the lamp as a feature light.

If you have artwork you want to showcase, for instance, you will appreciate this feature light mode. Multiple lights in one - brilliant!

The technology works as Dyson advertises and claims, and it's unbelievably convenient.
