I purchased this docking station that doubles as a freestanding charger along with my new Dyson v11 Outsize Origin. The v11 Dok retails for $149.99, and it is definitely not a must-have accessory for Dyson’s cordless vacuums; however, it does come in very handy. I recommend it if your budget allows it. 

Charging my v11 vacuum has gotten easier than its predecessors. I can just drop it into the dock to charge. The charging mechanism is the same for both the Floor Dok and the regular charging station that’s included in the vacuum. 

The components are securely packed inside the box, and the boxed padding ensured that no component was in contact with others. 

Despite the rather large-sized box the Floor Dok comes in, the components are relatively simple. 

It requires a light assembly, and you can find the illustrated assembly instructions in the leaflet that was included. 

You will need the charger that comes with the vacuum. 

Voila! All setup! 

The biggest advantage of the Floor Dok is its mobility. It may not apply to everyone; however, I really like this movable charging station. I do a lot of home projects and chores, ranging from woodworking to pet grooming, and I do them in different rooms. So having a charging station permanently glued to, say, a laundry room, can become a nuisance. 

Since the quarantine, I’ve been helping my husband cut his own hair in the bathroom, and my new vacuum and the Floor Dok have become indispensable tools. We’re no experts at cutting hair, and our bathroom gets trashed with bits of hair EVERYWHERE. They’ve been lifesavers.
