Atelier Quince is a luxury lifestyle brand designed in San Francisco, and I've wanted its table mats for a long time. Atelier Quince's designs strive to capture the spirit of San Francisco, bridging timeless elegance and modern sophistication.

The brand makes high-end table mats, napkin rings, utensil rests, and various home goods such as tissue cases, vanity trays, and decorative objects. It is most well-known for its table mats made of durable plexiglass.

I bought 6 table mats in 2 designs - the FC Placemat in Metallic Gold, and SB Placemat in Dark Pearl.

Each mat is packaged in a sturdy green cardboard box, and I thought the mats would make great housewarming or wedding gifts.

These are the FC Placemats in Metallic Gold. The gold, brown, and hints of white swirl in an intricate pattern, resulting in a magical and artistic backdrop for any place setting. The metallic gold color is part of Atelier Quince's 2021 FW collection, "The Fog City by the Bay" and is inspired by San Francisco's foggy Golden Gate Bridge.

And look at this stunner! The SB Placemat in Dark Pearl is truly one-of-a-kind!

I figured its modern profile would look great against my black dining table.

Look at the veins! Each FC Placematmat has slight variations, which makes them unique.

Which one is your favorite pattern? I preferred the busier veins; however, it was the only one left, so I opted for ones with more subtle patterns. They are beautiful, regardless.

The mat accentuates any dinner plate or dish.

Paired with Atelier Quince's napkin rings and flatware rests, these table mats set the mood for the table.

The dark pearl mats are mesmerizing in person.

The salesperson told me I was getting the last remaining ones, and the artist wasn't planning on making more because the manufacturing process was much harder.

The mysterious pattern gives off glass-like finish that looks like ice cubes in certain angles.

The mats run larger than other table mats I own such as Chilewich or Kim Seybert. The conventional table mats are usually just enough for a dinner plate; however, the Atelier Quince mats are large enough to accommodate larger place settings.

They measure 46cm x 36cm. Caring for these mats is easy - you can wipe them clean with a damp cloth. In case of heavy soiling, you can hand wash them in running water. They are not dishwasher-safe, however.

These table mats are practical and beautiful. They are quickly becoming my favorite mats to set the table.
